Ridge-top riding, single track bike trail, ticks, and a fun morning chasing the Nor Cal boys.
Followed by a back roads tour of Hoopa, Siskiyou County to Sawyers Bar with Stu then on down the road…

Rode trails then took up a neighbor’s offer and got down with the lemon tree!

Desert Pedal visited Los Altos Hills sans bikes.
Lovely trails in this steep and settled terrain.
Hiked. Met a Chicken. Wandered Filoli Garden.
Got halfway…to Goumaz Camp…chatted with the boy scouts and the sheriff’s posse then turned around, rode back to Westwood trailhead. Saw one bear, 2 deer, 1 cattle herd, 2 boy scout troops, 1 mounted sheriff’s posse. No badgers or cats sighted.
Double-track so bring a partner to sing and chit-chat with along the way. West to East starts in pine forest. Route enters Susan River canyon couple miles before Goumaz and the scenery starts to change.
It is a pleasant ride, highly recommend. Bizz.
The adage holds true for wrenches as it does forks: when you see one in the road, take it.

The tv was sitting far out, 100 yards or more, from an abandoned double-wide “homestead” we visited regularly on the valley tours and had become known as The Palm Tree House . It had been shot where it sat, perhaps from the house which would have been an admirable feat if you’re into that sort of thing. Abbey may have appreciated the effort.
